Though it is a bit cool outside, (I have my periwinkle blue house-socks on!) it is starting to feel like summer. I have heard the first Cicada! He's quiet at the moment, but was singing just a moment ago. I've been sitting outside for quiet a while with my schoolwork. The tiny sparrows have finally warmed up to me and are flitting around, albeit nervously. We have a little chipmunk who lives around here who has also been scurrying around me. He spends his day going back and forth between where he lives (I think in our garage, or perhaps in our flowers) and the cage we have on our deck where our pigeon lives. (Our pigeon has a broken wing and was found in our yard. Instead of leaving him out for the neighborhood cats to get him, we adopted him. We've had him for three years, give or take.) The chipmunk fills his little cheeks up with as much birdseed as he can and brings it back to his home over and over.
